About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Accountant to join our growing manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will lead and manage the full spectrum of the finance function, ensuring robust financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and effective cost control. You will work closely with the executive team to provide financial insights that drive business performance, oversee procurement and inventory control systems, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional with a proven track record in managing finance operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting and finance department including payroll, invoicing, bank reconciliations, supplier payments, and statutory deductions.
Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Monitor the organization’s financial status and provide regular updates to senior management on performance, risks, and opportunities.
Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures to ensure integrity and efficiency.
Analyze financial data and present insights for strategic planning, cost management, and budgeting.
Lead the preparation of financial forecasts and annual budgets in collaboration with department heads.
Ensure compliance with tax, legal, and regulatory frameworks.
Supervise procurement functions, supplier management, and store operations, ensuring optimal material usage and reducing variances.
Manage and oversee QuickBooks accounting system, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting.
Mentor and supervise junior finance staff and promote continuous professional development.
Qualifications and Skills
A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
CPA (K) or ACCA qualification is a must.
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, at least 2 of which should be in a senior position.
Demonstrated experience in QuickBooks and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
Proven ability to implement and manage finance and procurement systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership capabilities.
Experience in inventory and stock control within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
