Job Description

Role Overview:
The Branch Manager will be responsible for the overall supervision, development, and management of the branch. This includes driving growth in both assets and liabilities, ensuring operational compliance, and leading a high-performing team to meet the organization objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operations of the branch and ensure smooth functioning across all departments.
Grow the branch's asset and liability portfolio through effective marketing and relationship management.
Promote LOLC Finance’s full range of financial products and services, including planning and executing promotional campaigns.
Ensure full compliance with all internal procedures, policies, and controls—including dual control measures.
Maintain a high-quality asset book by overseeing credit processes and ensuring sound lending practices.
Drive new customer acquisition while retaining and growing relationships with existing clients.
Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the branch team to meet performance targets.
Monitor operational performance to ensure strict adherence to credit and operational policies and procedures.
Work closely with the Customer Service/Operations Officer to manage operational risks effectively.
Manage branch cash levels prudently, ensuring alignment with approved insurance limits.
Foster a customer-centric culture and ensure zero complaints related to unprofessional conduct by branch staff.
Implement initiatives that enhance customer experience and service delivery.
Lead recruitment, training, and motivation efforts to build a high-performing team.

Candidate Profile / Qualifications:

Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant work experience in a microfinance bank.
Minimum KCSE grade of C+ (plus) and a bachelor's degree or Higher Diploma in a business-related field from a recognized institution.
Strong performance orientation with a proven track record of results.
Proactive, persistent, and capable of inspiring others, with a high level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive matters.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Strong analytical, reporting, and numerical abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet, and email.
