Job Description

Our client, A high end hotel based in Zanzibar is looking for an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager to join their team. The scope of work involves a resort, Villas and a Hotel. The role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue and maximize profitability.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the annual marketing plan, coordinating marketing activities and annual sales and promotion programs.
- Develop the customer base and market segmentation to meet target sales forecasts and budgets.
- Manage day-to-day sales activities, including supervising the reservations team to ensure operational efficiency.
- Conduct market research, monitor competitor activities, and identify opportunities for growth and market penetration.
- Utilize data-driven insights to create and execute effective marketing campaigns, promotions, and pricing strategies.
- Analyze market trends and customers’ needs to tailor product offerings and maximize profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners to enhance business opportunities and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with departmental heads to develop new revenue generating ideas.
- Submit monthly sales promotion reports, competitive pricing analysis, plans for the upcoming month, and sales analysis reports.
- Participate in regional and international trade shows and exhibitions as needed.
- Conduct periodic target reviews and performance appraisals in alignment with the organization’s budget.
- Utilize social media platforms to create and share compelling content, engage with the audience, and build a strong online community.
- Uphold and enhance the hotel’s brand image through consistent messaging and visual identity across all marketing channels.
- Collaborate with graphic designers to create marketing collateral, including brochures, advertisements, and promotional materials.
- Develop and manage the annual marketing budget and communication plan, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve strategic objectives
- Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns to increase online visibility and drive direct bookings.
- Prepare regular reports on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure content and photography of 3rd party websites are maintained.

Requirements
- At least five years of experience in a similar position, preferably working in the hospitality industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing.
- Experience in digital marketing
- Strong communication and people skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of marketing strategies, digital marketing tools, and social media platforms.
- Experience with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
- Creative and innovative approach to marketing.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Results-oriented with a passion for driving growth.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.
