Job Description

The Healthcare Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and creating strategies to achieve business objectives. Key Responsibilities
The Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following:
Business Growth
Onboard new Insurance Companies, Insurance brokers & Agents, and, Private & Public Company Managed Medical Schemes.
Drive volume growth in uptake from existing partner schemes.
Drive volume growth in NHIF and uninsured general patient traffic across all service value streams.
Lead and coordinate the hospital marketing campaigns, activities and initiatives including Digital platforms.
Monitor competitor activities and provide insights to improve the hospital's market position.
Business Development
Working with the clinical team, develop and implement new services and packages.
Promote and lead the uptake of both paid and unpaid health talks, medical camps, wellness programs and check-ups.
Develop and execute quarterly, monthly & weekly business development plans with budget proposals to expand the hospital's services and patient base.
Manage the uptake of the approved Business Development and marketing budgets and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
Liaise and build Hospital referral partnerships and networks.
Build specialist doctors and General practitioners Consultant networks.
Working with the clinical teams, lead and coordinate the uptake of specialists’ clinics and specialized services.
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities
Monitor and report on the performance of business development initiatives including the Return on Investments (ROI).
Collaborate with internal teams to align business development efforts with company goals.
Partnership Management
Develop and execute a robust and effective customer/ Partners Relationship Management strategies.
Working with internal Customer care team, formulate customer/ partners retention and satisfaction strategies.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, payers, and industry partners.
Foster relationships with community organizations, businesses, and healthcare providers to build partnerships and referral networks.
BDM Team Management
Recruit, lead and coordinate the activities of the Internal BDM Team including the Project Based teams.
Oversee the execution of the weekly and monthly BDM Plans and reports.
Prepare and submit Weekly BDM plans and Reports.
Analyze BDM Reports and prepare strategy papers for Management adoption.
Mentor and Coach the BDM Team.
Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
Analyse marketing and business development performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed.
Collaborate with the hospital management team to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives.
Prepare regular Departmental reports on marketing and business development activities and outcomes.
Manage digital marketing efforts, including social media, email campaigns, and website content.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, preferably in the healthcare industry.
Proven track record of driving business growth and forming strategic partnerships.
Strong understanding of the healthcare market, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
