Job Opportunity: Quality Assurance Officer

Location: Nairobi

Key Responsibilities:

Perform rigorous testing of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to ensure adherence to internal and regulatory quality standards.
Support the product innovation process by validating the quality of new products during development and post-launch.
Develop and implement robust quality control frameworks aligned with client requirements and market expectations.
Coordinate internal quality assurance training sessions and enhance staff competencies in quality control practices.
Analyze and minimize Material Usage Variances (MUV) to curb waste and optimize efficiency.
Lead investigations and resolutions for customer complaints and quality-related incidents.
Manage pest control programs and ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations.
Champion lean production practices that maintain quality while improving cost-efficiency.
Keep comprehensive and accurate records of Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) and quality metrics; compile and submit reports regularly.
Drive the effective implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 systems.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma/Degree in Industrial Chemistry, Laboratory Technology, or a closely related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a quality assurance role within a manufacturing setup.
Familiarity with ISO 9001-certified environments is a strong advantage.
Strong critical thinking and attention to detail.
Excellent coordination and interpersonal skills for cross-department collaboration.
