JOB TITLE: Sales Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and drive sales in the building and construction industry. This role requires a deep understanding of construction materials, steel structures, finishing products, and related supplies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales, working with contractors, developers, architects, and procurement managers to grow market share, maximize revenue, and expand the company's footprint in the industry. Prior experience in the building and construction industry is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to expand the company's client base in the construction and steel industry.
Oversee field-based sales activities within the construction sector.
Identify key trends in the construction sector, emerging opportunities, and competitors’ activities to maintain a competitive edge.
Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key clients, including contractors, developers, architects, and quantity surveyors.
Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise a team of sales representatives to ensure high performance and achievement of sales targets.
Work closely with contractors and project managers to secure contracts for large-scale construction projects, steel structures, and finishing products.
Monitor and analyze sales performance, set clear KPIs, and provide regular reports on revenue, market trends, and sales activities.
Develop pricing strategies in line with market demand and company objectives, ensuring competitive and profitable deals.
Engage in site visits to understand project requirements, provide product recommendations, and offer technical sales support.
Identify and pursue government and private sector tenders, preparing compelling bids to secure major contracts.
Work closely with the procurement, logistics, and marketing teams to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Develop and implement data-driven sales strategies to penetrate new markets and retain key accounts.
Identify emerging trends, government tenders, and private-sector opportunities to secure high-value contracts.
Analyze competitor activities and market dynamics to maintain a competitive edge.
Cultivate long-term partnerships with contractors, developers, architects, and government agencies.
Lead negotiations for large-scale projects, ensuring profitable pricing and alignment with company goals.
Prepare detailed sales forecasts, revenue reports, and market analyses for senior management.
Ensure all contracts and bids comply with company policies and industry regulations.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, or a related field.
Master’s degree or professional certification in Sales, Marketing, or a related field is an added advantage.
Proven experience in field-based sales within the construction and manufacturing industries.
Experience in tender/bid management for government and private-sector projects.
Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and data analytics tools.
Mandatory experience in the building and construction industry.
Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the construction industry, steel structures, or finishing products. Proven track record in achieving high-value B2B sales.
Strong understanding of construction materials, steel structures, tiling, and finishing solutions.
Existing relationships with contractors, real estate developers, architects, and engineers will be an added advantage.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to analyze market data and make informed business decisions.
Familiarity with construction specifications, blueprints, and project procurement cycles.
Self-motivated with a passion for closing deals, driving revenue, and expanding market presence.
