Job Description
The Branch Manager at Dovey Pharma is responsible for the overall operations of a specific pharmacy branch,
ensuring smooth customer service, accurate medication dispensing, inventory management, staff supervision, and
compliance with pharmaceutical regulations, all while prioritizing customer care and maintaining profitability within
the store.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet customers warmly and professionally, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
Provide accurate medication information and counselling to patients on proper drug usage.
Handle customer complaints effectively and resolve issues to maintain customer satisfaction.
Prescription Dispensing:
Accurately fill prescriptions according to doctor's orders, ensuring proper labelling and instructions.
Confirm insurance coverage and make sure all prescriptions are billed accurately.
Monitor potential drug interactions and alert the company pharmacist about any concerns.
Inventory Management:
Maintain optimal stock levels of medications and over-the-counter products by monitoring inventory,
placing orders, and managing expiry dates.
Conduct regular stock checks to prevent discrepancies.
Implement strategies to minimize stock loss and waste.
Staff Supervision:
Lead and motivate a team of pharmacy assistants and cashiers, ensuring they adhere to company policie s
and procedures.
Delegate tasks effectively and provide necessary training to staff.
Monitor staff performance and address any issues promptly.
Operational Management:
Ensure compliance with pharmacy and poisons board regulations, including proper storage and handling
of medications.
Manage daily operations of the pharmacy, including opening and closing procedures.
Monitor sales trends and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
Ensure banking is done on time, documentation on the daily cash and banking procedures are reconciled
and accurate statement are posted in the system and relevant documents presented to the finance
department
Reporting and Analysis:
Generate regular reports on sales, inventory, and customer data to provide insights to management.
Analyze sales trends and implement strategies to increase sales and customer engagement.
