Job Description

General Purpose
The regional sales manager will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing sales strategies in a group of branches in a prescribed region. The duties will include coordinating sales and promotional activties in all the branches in the region, supporting the branches in achieving their set targets, meeting with managers and the branch employees, and resolving staff and client-related challenges. The regional manager is also responsible for gathering market intelligence information on the target market and coordinating appropriate responses.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Create regional sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives
• Support Branch Managers with day-to-day branch operations
• Evaluate branch and individual performances
• Report on regional sales results
• Forecast quarterly and annual profits
• Identify hiring needs, select and train new salespeople
• Prepare and review the annual budget for the area of responsibility
• Analyse regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth
• Address potential problems and suggest prompt solutions in the region
• Participate in decisions for expansion or acquisition
• Suggest new services/products and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction
• Recommend service and product enhancement to improve the sales potential and customer satisfaction
• Ensure the delivery of targets through individual recognition, performance review, people management and rewards
• Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of the company’s relationship with them
• Determine the company’s regional gross-profit and annual unit plans by analysing trends and results and implementing marketing strategies
• Develop field sales action plans to facilitate the implementation of the regional sales programs
• Plan for the achievement of individual and divisional targets in alignment with the strategies and policies of the company
• Provide the necessary support to branch managers to enable them to generate market leads and close new deals
• Develop and implement new programs, sales initiatives and strategies to capture key demographics
• Document customer interactions and maintain data related to this activities e.g CRM
• Design upselling and cross-selling programs and campaigns
• Ensure the effectiveness of upselling and cross-selling activities by guiding employees
• Uplift the regional sales volume to its possible best
• Organize training for new staff
• Develop and review long- and short-term sales strategies
• Participate in interviews and the processes of recruiting new employees in the sales department
KPIS
• Submit regional sales plans and quotas by the 2nd of every month
• Organize 2 trainings quarterly for people empowerment for each Branch Manager.
• Achieve Regional targets 100% in alignment with the strategies and policies of the company
• Ensure 80% of the Branches are above 80% of the revenue targets on a monthly basis.
• Ensure 3 branches are visited daily
• Ensure a 10% value of cross selling is achieved against the achieved revenues with data to prove the same.
• Deliver 1 New opportunity to completion to expand the country reach every 3months
• Advise Procurement through ordering right at the branch level on what needs to be bought at least once a week and is documented
