JOB SUMMARY

Light Automotive Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and ensure safety.
• Use diagnostic tools to pinpoint issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Explain repairs and maintenance needs to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
• Stay updated on the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.

• Technical expertise in automotive repair and maintenance.
• Problem-solving skills to diagnose and fix issues efficiently.
• Customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients.
• Attention to detail to ensure all repairs and maintenance are performed correctly.
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy parts and working in various positions.
• Certification from recognized institutions (e.g., ASE certification) is often preferred.

Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational training or an associate degree in automotive technology.
• Experience as a lube technician or in a similar role is beneficial.
