Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead their sales operations in Kenya for their tissue product line. The ideal candidate must possess extensive senior sales management experience, with a strong and proven background in tissue product sales. This role requires a strategic leader with deep industry insight, the ability to drive market growth, and a passion for building and managing high-performing sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to grow the tissue product portfolio across Kenya.
• Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding market share.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the national sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Build strong relationships with key distributors, wholesalers, retail chains, and institutional clients.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform business decisions.
• Prepare detailed sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for executive management.
• Oversee contract negotiations and ensure profitability and compliance with company standards.
• Collaborate with marketing, production, and logistics teams to ensure alignment with sales goals.
• Represent the company at trade fairs, industry events, and stakeholder meetings.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in sales management, with at least 5 years in the tissue or hygiene products industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large sales teams and delivering exceptional results.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Deep understanding of the Kenyan retail and distribution landscape.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to leadership and execution.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
