Job Description

Job Title: Head of Talent and Culture
Location: Nairobi
Type: Full-time

Position Summary

As the Head of Talent and Culture, you will be a strategic leader and culture champion, responsible for driving talent acquisition, employee experience, leadership development, DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion), and organizational culture. You’ll partner with leadership to ensure that people and culture remain at the forefront of business success.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive talent strategy aligned with business goals

Lead all aspects of recruitment, onboarding, and employer branding to attract world-class talent

Design and implement talent development programs, including performance management, coaching, and career progression

Champion a strong, values-driven culture that supports inclusion, innovation, and well-being

Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on organizational design, employee relations, and people strategy

Analyze and report on HR metrics to inform decision-making and continuous improvement

Lead initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across all levels

Ensure compliance with labor laws, HR best practices, and ethical standards

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred)

7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a strategic people role

Proven experience in building and scaling culture in fast-paced environments

Deep understanding of talent management, organizational development, and DEI best practices

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into action

HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, CIPD, or similar) are a plus
