Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing accounting practices and will be instrumental in managing financial operations, analyzing costs, and supporting strategic decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR):

· Process supplier invoices, ensuring validation of all landed cost components such as shipping, customs duties, taxes, and handling fees.

· Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any invoice discrepancies promptly.

· Generate customer invoices and actively follow up on overdue payments to ensure timely collections.

· Update AP and AR aging schedules daily, maintaining accurate records of outstanding balances.

· Apply customer and supplier payments to corresponding open invoices in the accounting system.

2. Financial Recording and Data Integrity:

· Record all financial transactions in the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.

· Collaborate with procurement to track payments related to imports and customs, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

· Prepare cash flow forecasts for payables and receivables to aid in financial planning.

3. Cost Management and Analysis:

· Analyze and validate landed costs for imported raw materials, ensuring accurate product costing.

· Conduct cost-benefit analyses and provide financial insights to improve operational efficiency.

· Monitor and report on business costs, highlighting areas for potential cost savings

4. Financial Reporting and Compliance:

· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

· Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements, including tax filings and audits.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

2. Professional certification such as CPA (K), ACCA, or equivalent.

3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing or FMCG industry.

4. Strong understanding of landed cost components and AP/AR best practices.

5. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

6. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
