Job Description
Position Overview:
As a Food and Beverage Supervisor at the hotel, you will oversee the operations of the dining outlets, ensuring exceptional
service and guest satisfaction. Your primary responsibility will be to supervise and support the food and beverage team,
including waiters, bartenders, and hostesses, in delivering high-quality dining experiences. You will assist in coordinating service
activities, and resolving guest issues to maintain smooth operations and uphold the hotel's standards of hospitality. Your
leadership, organizational skills, and attention to detail will contribute to the success of our food and beverage department and
enhance the overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Training
Supervise and mentor food and beverage staff, including waiters, bartenders, and hostesses, providing guidance,
coaching, and support as needed.
Conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate service expectations, review daily specials, and address any operational
issues or concerns.
Train new staff members on service standards, menu knowledge, and customer service protocols to ensure consistency
and professionalism.
Service Coordination
Coordinate dining spaces setup, including table arrangements, linens, and tableware, to ensure a welcoming and
organized environment for guests.
Manage seating assignments, and guest flow to optimize table turnover and maximize revenue.
Oversee service activities during peak dining hours, ensuring efficient and attentive service to guests and timely delivery
of food and beverages.
Guest Relations
Interact with guests proactively to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and resolve any issues or complaints promptly
and courteously.
Monitor dining room ambiance, cleanliness, and presentation, making adjustments as needed to maintain a high
standard of cleanliness and comfort.
Anticipate guest needs and preferences, offering personalized recommendations and assistance to enhance their dining
experience.
Quality Control
Conduct regular inspections of food and beverage service areas to ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and quality
standards.
Monitor food and beverage presentation, portion sizes, and temperature to ensure consistency and adherence to
established standards.
Address any deviations from standards promptly, providing feedback and coaching to staff as needed to maintain quality
and consistency.
Qualifications
Diploma in hotel management is preferred.
Previous experience in a supervisory role in the food and beverage industry, preferably in a hotel setting.
Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to achieve performance goals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach to service.
Thorough knowledge of food and beverage operations, including service standards, menu offerings, and safety
protocols.
Proficiency in reservation and point-of-sale (POS) systems, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the hotel's operational
needs.
