Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management and Reporting
o Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements, reports, and records.
o Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and transactions.
o Manage reconciliations for accounts, ensuring all discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
2. Audit Support and Compliance
o Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and documents.
o Implement audit recommendations and develop procedures to enhance internal controls.
o Monitor adherence to regulatory standards, tax requirements, and company policies.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting
o Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
o Monitor actual performance against budget, analyzing variances and reporting findings to management.
4. Financial Data Analysis
o Conduct financial analysis to provide insights on revenue trends, cost management, and profit margins.
o Provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
5. Accounts Payable and Receivable
o Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and payments.
o Manage relationships with vendors, clients, and other stakeholders.
6. Risk Management
o Identify and assess financial risks, implementing mitigation strategies where necessary.
o Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international regulatory requirements related to financial reporting and audit standards.
7. Process Improvement
o Evaluate and improve financial processes, utilizing technology to increase efficiency.
o Collaborate with other departments to implement financial best practices across the organization.

Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or ACCA qualification preferred.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in an auditing role, ideally in the fintech or financial services sector.
· Solid understanding of financial regulations and standards in Kenya.
· Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
