Job Description
The Admin/Accounts Intern will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day administrative and financial operations of the company. You will work closely with the Operations Manager to support office administration, financial record-keeping, and other operational tasks, ensuring the company runs efficiently with its limited resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide general administrative support to the Operations Manager and other team members.
Assist with invoicing, billing, and managing accounts payable/receivable.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and assist with basic bookkeeping tasks.
Help prepare financial reports, budgets, and expense tracking.
Manage office supplies, logistics, and procurement processes, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing meeting minutes, and managing correspondence.
Support the project teams with documentation, filing, and data entry related to solar photovoltaic projects.
Assist in tracking project timelines and budgets, providing regular updates to the Operations Manager.
Coordinate communication between clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Help manage payroll and liaise with external accountants as needed.
Assist with any other tasks as delegated by the Operations Manager to help ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in an administrative or accounting role, preferably in a startup or small business environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.).
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with the renewable energy sector or solar industry is a plus.
