Job Description
A hospital matron is responsible for overseeing nursing staff, ensuring high standards of patient care, and managing hospital operations. Duties include leadership, patient care, collaboration with healthcare professionals, quality assurance, administrative tasks, staff development, health and safety, training and development, staff coordination, and patient and public relations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- 3 years’ experience in healthcare administration or related role, preferably in a hospital setting
Skills:
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle complex situations
- Proficient in administrative tasks
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Working Conditions:
- Hospital setting with responsibilities across various departments or wards
