Job Summary
The Department of Pathology is seeking a Research Assistant Nurse to be responsible for participant information and consenting, collecting clinical and research data as per the IRB- approved protocol and good clinical practice guidelines, supporting several studies.
Responsibilities
Collecting research data from various platforms.
Ensuring the confidentiality and security of the collected data.
Data entry into relevant databases and management using the approved study tools.
Collect data from all the study sites and ensure they are correctly captured both on red cap and hardcopy questionnaires.
Donor engagement, serving as a primary point of contact for potential donors; matters biobank.
Manage patient information and provide necessary support to patients and their families.
Contribute and prepare submissions of progress reports, regulatory documents and ethics board communications.
Collaborate closely with clinical, laboratory and data teams to streamline workflows and ensure protocol compliance.
Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor or designee.
Requirements
Registered Nurse
Training in human subject research ethics and good clinical practice.
A minimum of three years’ experience in research.
Working with clinical teams is an added advantage.
Excellent interviewing skills.
Proficiency in MS Office software and electronic data collection tools like Red Cap, Odk etc.
Strong organizational skills with ability to work with minimal supervision.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal communication.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
