Job Description

Job Summary:

Phase One Associates is seeking a proactive and creative PR & Communications Officer to lead and
manage the organization’s internal and external communications. The successful candidate will play a
critical role in shaping the company’s public image, enhancing brand visibility, and driving stakeholder
engagement through strategic messaging and dynamic content.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Communication and Brand Management
▪ Serve as the custodian of consistent and clear communication across all channels, ensuring
alignment in messaging, tone, brand guidelines, and visual identity.
▪ Provide strategic guidance on communication priorities, including reputational management
and external positioning.
2. Content Creation and Dissemination
▪ Develop and share engaging content for a variety of platforms including blogs, newsletters,
videos, reports, print media, and digital channels.
▪ Package and share thought leadership, success stories, and impact insights across multiple
audiences.
3. Internal Communication and Event Support
▪ Coordinate internal communications, ensuring timely and effective information flow within the
organization.
▪ Support the communication aspects of events, launches, programs, and campaigns, promoting
visibility and brand coherence.
4. Digital Media and Public Relations
▪ Manage and update digital platforms including the company website and social media channels,
driving user engagement and online presence.
▪ Manage relationships with external communication vendors.
Qualifications & Experience:
▪ A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Affairs, Social Sciences, Knowledge
Management, or a related field.
▪ A minimum of 4 years’ experience in communications, public relations, or media, preferably
within a development, donor, or impact-focused organization.
▪ Proven success in managing multi-channel communication strategies and translating technical
content into compelling narrative
Skills & Attributes:
▪ Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to produce high-quality content
under tight deadlines.
▪ Proficiency in managing digital platforms (social media, WordPress websites) and using design
tools (e.g., Canva).
▪ Strong interpersonal and relationship skills with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
▪ Strategic thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work independently while managing
multiple priorities.
