Job Description
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop lesson plans and progress tests for the learners in line with assessment guidelines and curriculum specifications.
2. Teach and support students in Maths, English and Science.
3. Use relevant technology to support and supplement instruction.
4. Prepare students for all required assessments.
5. Maintain discipline in accordance with normal classroom rules and disciplinary systems.
6. Collect and analyze assessment data for educational planning and determines appropriate interventions.
7. Evaluate each student’s progress and provide appropriate feedback.
8. Maintain accurate and complete records of student's progress and development.
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:
1. Diploma/Degree in Education or relevant field in teaching from an accredited institution.
2. Provide relevant academic and professional certificates.
3. Minimum 2 years’ experience in teaching CBC, 844 or British curricula.
4. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
5. Ability to teach basic level computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Windows & Office, web browsing, email and typing.
6. Any additional skills are an advantage.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. KCSE grade C Plus and above.
2. Diploma/Degree in Education or relevant field in teaching from an accredited institution.
3. Minimum 2 years’ experience in teaching.
