Job Description

The ideal candidate will have experience in formulating overall strategy, leading a team and managing the daily operation of the business, establishing policies. Ultimately, the general manager should be driven by a desire to lead our business to maximum productivity and efficiency. They will be responsible to manage company goals for several departments, and they need to have practical communication skills to work with employees throughout the company. They also require strong leadership skills to manage resources and dynamic organization skills to maintain daily operations.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations
Design strategy and set goals for growth
Maintain budgets and optimize expenses
Set policies and processes
Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
Evaluate and improve operations, Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans and overall financial performance
Direct the employee assessment process
Prepare regular reports for upper management
Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve objectives for sales, profitability, and market share
Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively
Qualifications
Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role
Experience in planning and budgeting
Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
Strong analytical ability
Excellent communication skills
Outstanding organizational, delegation and leadership skills
Problem-solving aptitude
Proven success in a managerial role
Strong decision-making ability
Ability to motivate and lead employees, and hold them accountable
Strong working knowledge of operational procedures
