Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and submit accurate customs declarations, invoices, packing lists, and other required documentation.
• Ensure all documents comply with local and international trade regulations.
• Stay updated on customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.
• Ensure all shipments meet legal and regulatory requirements to avoid delays or penalties.
• Liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure timely clearance of goods.
• Communicate with internal teams (e.g., procurement, logistics, and finance) to gather necessary information for declarations.
• Ensure all documentation is archived for audit and compliance purposes.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in documentation or customs declarations.
• Address any issues raised by customs authorities promptly.
• Generate reports on customs activities, including clearance times, costs, and compliance issues.
• Provide regular updates to management on trade compliance matters.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field. (Must have ICMS Certificate)
• 2 -3 years experience in logistics or a related field.
• Familiarity with customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in customs declaration software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and procedures.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Time management and organizational abilities.
• Ethical and compliance-oriented mindset.

- Ksh 20,000.00 Monthly
