Job Description
The Gender Expert will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the e-mobility and Solar Photovoltaic II Installer curricula are gender-sensitive and equitable. This role involves integrating gender perspectives into curriculum design, identifying barriers, and advising on gender-responsive teaching practices. The Gender Expert will work closely with stakeholders to embed gender sensitivity throughout curriculum development, aligning with both national policies and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Integrate Gender Sensitivity into Curriculum Design:
o Ensure the curricula for e-mobility and Solar Photovoltaic II Installer programs are designed to be gender-sensitive by identifying and addressing potential biases, ensuring balanced representation, and incorporating gender-responsive learning outcomes and teaching methodologies.
• Conduct Gender Analysis and Identify Barriers:
o Perform a comprehensive gender analysis to uncover barriers affecting gender-based participation and performance. Develop strategies within the curriculum to address these barriers, fostering an inclusive environment that supports all students, especially women.
• Advise on Gender-Responsive Teaching Practices:
o Provide guidance on implementing gender-responsive classroom practices, instructional materials, and assessments that promote gender equity and encourage the inclusion of underrepresented genders in technical fields.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders for Gender Mainstreaming:
o Partner with curriculum developers, educational institutions, and industry representatives to integrate gender sensitivity throughout the curriculum development process. Ensure alignment with national gender equity policies and global best practices.
