Job Description
Job Summary: The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of the company, ensuring efficient project execution, quality control, and resource management. In addition, the role will focus heavily on sales, marketing, and business development to drive the growth of the company. The individual will be expected to develop and implement strategies to increase market presence, secure new business, and grow revenue streams.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development, Sales, and Marketing
Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth in the solar photovoltaic sector.
Market Research: Analyze market trends, competition, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
Lead Generation: Identify, approach, and convert potential clients in both residential and commercial sectors.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to ensure repeat business.
Proposal Development: Prepare and present business proposals, quotes, and contracts to prospective clients.
Marketing Campaigns: Design and execute marketing campaigns (digital, offline, and direct) to promote the company's services and products.
Partnerships: Identify and establish strategic partnerships with industry players, including vendors, suppliers, and government agencies.
Sales Targets: Set, track, and achieve sales and marketing targets in line with company goals.
Operations Management
Project Oversight: Oversee the end-to-end execution of solar installation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
Team Leadership: Manage the operations team, including engineers, technicians, and support staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Resource Management: Ensure efficient allocation and management of resources, including materials, manpower, and equipment.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of quality materials.
Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure high standards of installation and safety.
Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
Reporting: Prepare operational reports and present them to senior management, highlighting project progress, sales, and operational challenges.
Financial Management
Budgeting: Assist in preparing and managing the operational budget, ensuring cost control and profitability.
Cost Analysis: Monitor project costs, ensuring profitability and identifying areas for cost savings.
Client and Vendor Relations
Client Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing any operational or service concerns.
Vendor Coordination: Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure smooth procurement of materials and equipment.
Continuous Improvement
Process Optimization: Continuously review operational processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement.
Innovation: Encourage the adoption of innovative technologies and practices to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, sales, and marketing, preferably within the renewable energy or construction sectors.
Strong understanding of the solar photovoltaic industry and related technologies.
Proven experience in business development and sales.
Excellent project management and leadership skills.
Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with digital marketing and customer relationship management (CRM) tools is an advantage.
