Job Description
ForAfrica Operations is hiring in Kenya for a proactive and results-driven Partner, Strategy & Planning to work closely with the Country Head, enhancing program delivery across the country and broader Africa. In this role, you will support the planning, monitoring, and alignment of programs with ForAfrica’s goals, helping create sustainable development and impactful change. This position offers a chance to contribute to meaningful work while growing within a dynamic organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance Tracking and Monitoring:
Assist the Country Head and Programs Head in tracking the performance of country programs against set targets.
Maintain and improve systems, processes, templates, and tools to ensure effective planning and execution of programs in Kenya and other parts of Africa.
Provide regular reports on program performance, tracking key metrics and collecting data for decision-making.
Strategic Planning and Analysis:
Help identify strategic opportunities, analyze data, and develop recommendations to improve program outcomes in Kenya.
Support the development of strategies that align with ForAfrica’s objectives and mission.
Assist in preparing materials for review by the Country Leadership team.
Program Execution and Support:
Contribute to program execution, team management, and internal communications across various country programs, primarily focusing on Kenya.
Ensure the smooth running of governance processes and provide support for strategic initiatives.
Aid in team development, change management, and communication efforts.
Reporting and Recommendations:
Develop reports offering insights and recommendations to enhance the efficiency and impact of programs in Kenya and the broader region.
Present performance, risks, and opportunities to the Country Head and Programs Head.
Risk and Issue Management:
Help identify, assess, and monitor risks, issues, and dependencies within the country programs, especially in Kenya.
Support risk mitigation efforts and ensure transparent decision-making.
Planning Initiatives:
Contribute to both short-term and long-term planning initiatives for programs in Kenya, ensuring alignment with ForAfrica’s broader goals across Africa.
Assist in maintaining and improving governance processes for planning tools and key initiatives.
Encouraged Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, international development, or a related field is ideal.
Experience: At least 1 year of experience managing projects or programs in any sector (e.g., education, youth employment, entrepreneurship, digital economy, agriculture/food systems) is highly encouraged.
Project Management Certification: PMP or relevant Project Management Certification is a plus, it’s not mandatory. If you have strong organizational and management skills, we’d love to hear from you.
Skills: We're seeking individuals who have project management abilities, are organized, and can engage with diverse stakeholders. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn are key assets!
